Character & Integrity Training

Is character and integrity seen as a core value in your organization? We offer specialized training in the importance of integrity among both executives and workers. Character and integrity is addressed regarding the workplace, marriage, and finances, in our training modules.

Competent Supervisor

This one day course will focus on the definitions of competence under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and how it is interpreted in case history by the government. It will provide a comparison of the differences and similarities of the responsibilities and requirements of health and safety professional, the supervisor and senior and middle management. Sample tools will also be distributed and used during the training to assist you when you return to your workplace. Various case studies will be conducted to solidify the key factors presented during the training session.

 

CRSP Prep Course

During this 3 day course, we will act as your personal tutor and ensure that your efforts are effective and timely by providing guidance, action plans, training programs and system evaluations. CSP Preparatory Course

This course will focus on some of the following key elements: Ergonomics, Environmental practices, risk management, occupational health, safety and environmental systems, safety techniques and technology, fire prevention and protection accident theory, occupational hygiene, health & safety and the law. We will review example examination questions to highlight principles of preparing/planning for the exam, studying for the exam and taking the exam.

 

Due Diligence Training

Due Diligence means taking every reasonable precaution to protect the Health and Safety of workers. Demystify the process of establishing and maintaining a successful Health & Safety System and ensure your organization's compliance with the Due Diligence Legislative Obligations. We have assisted numerous companies in Workwell audits in the last few years. We have a 100% pass rate. You will be in good hands under our direction.

Effective Environment, Health and Safety Management Techniques for Middle Management

This course will focus on the definitions of competence under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and how it is interpreted in case history by the government. It will review key health and safety management principles and the history of their development. The primary methods of recognizing, identifying and controlling a safety issue will be presented and validated through recent Ministry of Labour cases.

 

First Aid and CPR

RTS Consulting can provide First Aid and CPR Training. The topics in this 14 hour Standard First Aid/Heart Saver Training Session include adult, child and Infant C.P.R., obstructed airway, abdominal or chest injuries and burns and many more.

Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification Part 1&2

RTSC offers CPO Approved Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification Training, Part 1 and Part 2.

A Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) is required by law if your company has 20 or more employees. It is also specified that one worker and one manager of every JHSC must be trained in the fundamentals of Health and Safety, and the Workplace Specific Hazards – JHSC Certification Level 1 and Level 2.

Joint Health and Safety Refresher Training

This half day JHSC Refresher Training is designed for JHSC certified members who would like to refresh their certification training and revitalize their committee. This training is also valuable for non-certified JHSC members who would like to obtain basic knowledge regarding committee duties.

Safety Managers Introductory Training Program

Your safety manager must be familiar with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the regulations that apply to the work, and to coordinate the workplace health & safety activities. They must have formal training including but not limited to health, safety and the law, planned workplace inspections, accident investigation, loss control management, and occupational health and safety certification training. This two day introductory training program session will provide the basics of their requirements.

Working at Heights Training

RTSC, in partnership with BEST Safety Training, offers CPO Approved Working at Heights Training. This 8 hour course will provide workers who are exposed to the hazard of falling with adequate knowledge about fall hazards and general safety practices to work safely at heights, and provide workers who use personal fall protection equipment with sufficient knowledge about its purpose and use.

Workplace Violence and Harassment

The Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario has been amended to address the issue of workplace violence. Developing Workplace Violence and Harassment Policies and Programs for Ontario Workplaces educates participants about workplace violence and harassment, prevention and intervention strategies, and the legal requirements for creating and implementing appropriate policies and programs.
